NG9-1-1 Service Availability
NG9-1-1 upgrades can only be made in provinces and territories that have enhanced 9-1-1:
- BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and PEI have enhanced 9-1-1 currently and will be transitioned to NG9-1-1 by March 2027.
- Newfoundland and Labrador, Yukon, and Northwest Territories have Basic 9-1-1 and will not be transitioned to NG9-1-1 in 2027. The timing of this transition will be announced at a later date.
- Nunavut does not have 9-1-1 service and emergency services are contacted using a normal telephone number.
